Executioner by Scuttling-Bean Executioner by Scuttling-Bean
Sooo, I was working on an idea for this competition, and I'm not completely happy with how it was turning out. I figured I'd just let it end here, and work on a new entry later. So yeah, here's my unfinished executioner...

I agree, if not for the competition just for the hell of it, put some more time into this. Maybe it is just the ax head needing a bit more of a finer touch, something like how the bottom half of the shaft is done, but you got something goin here I think. The lighting is great :) It adds a necessary bit of horror to the piece.

:D Thanks so much. Yeah, I've decided to put some more work into it and see how it turns out.

I think you should go back and finish it. I think its turning out pretty good. It would be great if you finished it. I like how it's done in digital paint. The only part I noticed that could use a little work are the teeth on the axe and smoothing out some of the lines on the axe head.

You know, I think I'm gonna take your advice and give it another go. Thanks for the encouragement!

No problem. I could just see the potential in this piece. I tend to do the same with some of my art work, but after going back and reworking it always turns out better than my original Idea. The two submissions I've entered have been reworked a dozen times and I think because of it my work gets better.
